Our love for Spanish craftsmanship grew from many trips to Albacete, the heart of Spain’s knife-making tradition. Meeting skilled artisans and witnessing their dedication to the craft sparked our passion to share these traditionally made knives with others.

Maintenance & Care
Wood Care
Ballistol maintains, protects, preserves, and rejuvenates unpainted wooden surfaces. It regenerates natural wood, brings out the wood grain and protects the handle from drying out and cracking. Keep all wood handles away from prolonged exposure to moisture and heat.
Blade Care
Castillo blades are made from Sandvik 14C28N steel which is naturally corrosion resistant. Using a light coat of Ballistol on the blade will form an additional protective layer on the surface to help prevent rust. Ballistol can also be used to clean and lubricate the pivot points which will help ensure proper function.
Leather Care
Leather that is frequently exposed to moisture or high humidity will become hard and brittle if not treated correctly. Ballistol will keep all smooth leather soft, and will effectively protect leather against the effects of water, insects and mold. If properly cared for, your leather sheath will break-in nicely and form a beautiful patina from every day carry.
